A painting activity with our marine biologist, which includes fun information and facts on local mangrove, seagrass and coral species, the need for restoration, what each ecosystem is important for and why we need to preserve these ecosystems.
First 15 minutes:
Guests will learn what mangroves,
seagrass and corals are, why are they important, which local animals live and rely on these ecosystems and why they
are at risk.
Next 30 minutes:
Learners will be introduced to the painting exercise, how the activity will work and read through information per page, dedicating 10 minutes of painting per page (2 in total).
Last 15 minutes:
Learners will have a recap and be asked questions around what they have learnt and then be awarded “Junior Eco Warrior” certificates in acknowledgment of their time.
