An exciting activity with our marine biologist, which involves learners making a shoreline from play dough and local animal cutouts, learning how and why mangroves are important through practical experience.

First 15 minutes:
 

Guests will learn what mangroves are, why they are important, which local animals live and rely on this ecosystem and why

it is at risk.

Next 30 minutes:
 

Learners will be introduced to the build a shoreline activity, how the activity will work and be taken through the before and after effects of mangroves.

Last 15 minutes:
 

Learners will have a recap and be asked questions around what they have learnt and then be awarded “Junior Mangrove Warrior” certificates.
