A guided tour of some of the island's coastline with our marine biologist, educating on the need for mangrove, seagrass and coral reef restoration. On this trip we'll note some important local species in each environment and challenge guests to see how many of each species they can spot in their dedicated snorkel time underwater.
First 20 minutes:
Introduction to the Reef Gardeners team, general health and safety protocol on boat by the Indigo Divers team.
Next 20 minutes:
Head out along the coast learn about seagrasses and coral reefs, local species and why these ecosystems need our help.
Next 60 minutes:
Spend time snorkelling in a coral site and see what local fish, crustacean and coral species they discover after learning about them.
Last 30 minutes:
Return to disembarkation point and recap with the group on what was learnt and award “Coral Safari” certificate.
